MARCUS TOWNSEND:
Co - Coach - Apex Volleyball Academy U-16 HydraTeam
I started playing volleyball at the grand old age of 14 on the beaches in Daytona Beach FL. Through this I developed a deep love for the sport of volleyball and I have made a part of my life ever since.
In addition to playing in the sun, I helped run drills for the girls high school team at FPC in '88 and '89 till I moved up here in '92.
I have since been playing around town in various city and county leagues and play as many tournaments during the summer as possible.
I began my coaching career in one of Coach Canton's many Sportco camps.
I am excited to be joining APEX and Coach Mock this year. I hope i will be able to make a difference in the life of our players, creating a passion for a sport that has been so good to me.
